PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – A Vermont man was bitten by a shark while wading in knee-deep in the ocean at the Sawgrass County Club Thursday afternoon, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said.
Beachersgoers helped David Cassetty, 49, out of the water about 3:30 p.m. before calling 911, deptuies said.

Cassetty was taken to Baptist South to be treated for a 4-inch-wide shark bite wound to his ankle, deputies said.
He has since be released from the hospital.
According to New4Jax records, the shark bite was the fourth one reported in Northeast Florida area this year. There were seven shark bites last year and two in 2014.
