Deputies: Prescription drugs found on middle school boy

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Two boys could face charges of possession and distribution of prescription drugs after the drugs were found on one of them at school.

St. Johns County deputies said one of the boys at Switzerland Point Middle School was found in possession of a baggie containing "orange pellets."

Deputies said he admitted the drugs were his and that the other boy asked him to bring them to school.

A sheriff's office report suggests the drugs were those of a family member. Deputies said a note was with the bag saying that the drugs cost $150.

The drugs tested positive for opiates and amphetamines, deputies said.

The boys were released to their parents and advised they could face charges.
