CLAY COUNTY, Fla. - A  Duval County Public Schools employee was arrested Friday after he accepted $13,000 in computer equipment that was meant as a donation by the Florida National Guard to the school district, the Clay County Sheriff's Office said.

Ken Camanga, 47, is charged with grand theft.

Last November, deputies said, a representative of the National Guard contacted Camanga about donating computers that were no longer being used at Camp Blanding.

Camanga was not authorized to accept the donation, and instead of bringing it the district's attention, he met the man from the National Guard, accepted the computers then brought the equipment to a scrap yard, where he sold it for $300, according to the Sheriff's Office.
