The driver of the fire truck, 20-year-old Jacob Crary, suffered minor injures and was taken to UF Health in Starke as a precaution.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, Crary ran through a red light while attempting to turn left onto U.S. 301. The driver of the semi, 47-year-old Steven Brown, did not have time to stop and hit the left side of the fire truck.

One southbound lane of U.S. 301 was blocked because of the crash but has reopened.

Troopers said Brown was cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
