Investigators say they recovered two reptiles, seven dogs and four puppies from the home.

Upon further investigation, deputies tell Local 6 the owners had left the pets alone for more than a week. That is when they also discovered there was fifth puppy that was still somewhere inside the home.

According to investigators, Durr alongside Animal Control Officers returned to the residence and searched for nearly two hours before finding the last puppy hidden underneath debris.

The animals were taken to the shelter for treatment.

Following their recovery, Durr waited at the shelter before the doors even opened to be the first to adopt that fifth puppy that was almost forgotten.

She named the dog "Ferrah" which means lovely and pleasant.
