ST. JOHNS, Fla. – The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is seeking a man in connection with a kidnapping early Tuesday morning.
The 45-year-old female victim told detectives that a man forced her at gunpoint to drive him "home" to Polk County from St. Johns County. When they reached Polk County, the kidnapper exited her vehicle and left the area, and the victim contacted the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

The victim told detectives she was driving south on State Road 13 around 6:30 a.m. (vehicle pictured) and about a mile north of the roundabout at Rivertown, and she thought she hit a pedestrian on the side of the road. The victim stopped and checked on the pedestrian, who pulled a handgun on her and the forced her to drive to Polk County.
The kidnapper (pictured above) is described as a white man in his 50s, tan, medium brown hair, with a long white beard, wearing a gray shirt with stains on it, blue jeans and a camouflage ball cap with a University of Florida Gators logo on it.
"Anyone who would do something like this is a person who is very bold and is a danger to our community," St. Johns County Cmdr. Chuck Mulligan said.
