Detectives seek 2 Publix thieves in St. Johns County

2 men accused of stealing more than $700 worth of merchandise

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's assistance in identifying two men in connection with at least two thefts at a Publix grocery store.

Authorities said the two are charged with removing a large amount of dog food, Pampers and baby wipes, and leaving the store without paying for the merchandise.

The two incidents occurred on Jan. 12 and 24, detectives said. The two are accused of stealing over $700 worth of merchandise on the two dates.
