Douglas couple face drug-trafficking charges

WAYCROSS, Ga. – After a joint investigation between the DEA and officials with the Coffee County Sheriff's Offices, 30-year-old Don "L'il Don" Edward Adams Jr., and 28-year-old Ashleigh Brooke Johnson are behind bars facing drug trafficking charges.

Officials said that the couple was arrested for conspiracy to traffic oxycodone and if they are convicted could face 20 years in rison, three years of supervised release and a $1 million fine.

The charges come from a joint investigation between the DEA, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Coffee County Sheriff's Office and the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit.
