According to court records, the accident was Breza's fourth DUI violation.

Frederick Horn, 17, and his 14-year-old brother, Jason Newton, were pushing their family's SUV off Blanding Boulevard when it ran out of gas on Jan. 17 and they were struck by a car.

Fredrick was pinned under one of the vehicles; Jason was thrown onto the road and suffered head injuries.

Frederick (pictured left next to Jason's bedside) had to undergo several surgeries that saved his life, but cost him one leg.

"I had just woke up, then I realized where I was, and then I reached back down there," Fredrick told News4Jax last week. "After that, all you heard was me screaming in the room."

A month later, Frederick remains in rehab at UF Health Jacksonville, learning to walk again without a leg. When News4Jax last received an update on his condition, Jason was still in intensive care at Wolfson Children's Hospital.
