Duval County grand jury indicts 4 in 3 murders

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Duval County grand jury returned indictments Thursday charging four defendants with murder in three separate homicide cases over the last nine months.

Jeremiah Hill, 13, was indicted on charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder, armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a juvenile delinquent.

Hill is accused of killing 25-year-old Tony Johnson on June 10 at a BP gas station on North Main Street after meeting to exchange guns.

John and Shavonn Norfleet (pictured below) were indicted on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter of a child and aggravated child abuse in the January 2015 death of Jada Norfleet.

Police say the couple beat their 4-year-old daughter to death with a 1-by-2 piece of lumber.

Carl Woods was indicted on charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery and armed burglary in the October 2014 death of 35-year-old Rolando Valencia.
