St. Johns County crash injures driver

Deputies investigating accident

ST AUGUSTINE, Fla. – St Johns County deputies are investigating a single-vehicle crash west of St. Augustine early Thursday morning that injured the driver.

Deputies were called to Holmes Boulevard where it meets West King Street just after 6 a.m.

They said the driver of a red Nissan pickup truck was traveling south on Holmes, lost control and crossed into the northbound lane, crashing into a telephone pole.

The crash caused the pickup to flip onto the driver's side.

The driver was transported to Flagler Hospital with minor injuries and is expected to be OK.

The driver's name has not been released.
