Final push before Florida's primary

Last days of campaigning in Sunshine State

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In a little more than two days the polls will close in Florida's presidential preference primary. Candidates are making a last ditch scramble to win the state in the Republican and Democratic primaries.

Florida isn’t the only state voting Tuesday, but it’s where you’re seeing the candidates most. Particularly on the Republican side, where the Sunshine State is a winner-take-all primary and whoever wins the GOP nod gets the state's 99 delegates.

For the next two days Florida will be stormed with candidates scrambling to get just enough votes to win their respective primary. You can already see the impact on the airwaves and candidates. Marco Rubio and Donald Trump are flooding the airwaves with ads.

News4Jax political analyst Jennifer Carroll said the Republican primary election will either go to Trump or Rubio.

"There’s no third possibility.  It’s Rubio or Trump. Because Cruz has not really campaigned in the state of Florida.  He was supposed to open up 13 sites in the state of Florida to be that spoiler for Rubio and I don’t think that’s going to make a dent because people voted early and they voted absentee," Carroll said.

If you’re one of the people who didn't take part in early voting and are undecided, there is a website that may work for you.

It’s called voter.guru. It asks you a series of questions and helps you find which candidate aligns most with your views and beliefs. Ben Krakow developed the website and says a lot of people who are visiting the site and are surprised with their results.

"We had it set up when there were 18 Republican candidates and four Democratic candidates. So when there were a lot more candidates people were very surprised with the results," Krakow said.
