JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A George Washington Carver Elementary School teacher is accused of spanking a child with a ruler.
According to the Duval County School District, there's an active investigation into the teacher.
News4Jax was told another teacher at the Northwest Jacksonville school reported it.
There's no word yet on the status of the teacher, Chrystal Shannon, and if she's been removed from the classroom.
