Quality wedding dresses; great price; good cause

Brides Against Breast Cancer event Sunday to feature more than 1,000 dresses

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It's an event where brides to be will come together in one spot looking for the perfect dress while showing support for cancer.

The Original Nationwide Tour of Gowns raises nearly $2 million for cancer support programs annually.

Brides Against Breast Cancer is coming back to Jacksonville Sunday and organizers say you can expect great dresses at a great price for a good cause.

Organizers say Brides Against Breast Cancer is an organization serving a very "pink" purpose. She says gown sales fund programs and services that are free to cancer patients and their families.

Through its Original Nationwide Tour of Gowns bridal shows, Brides Against Breast Cancer holds more than 120 shows a year in cities nationwide, with an average offering of 1,000 or more new or gently worn bridal dresses.

Organizers say wedding gown sales are an important fundraising program for Brides Against Breast Cancer.

"Our organization makes it possible for future brides around the country to purchase wedding gowns at dramatic savings, and give back" said Amy Paulishak, VP of business development. "Most gown prices range from $99 to $799, including beautiful new name brand and designer gowns valued up to $4,000."

If you're getting married or know someone who is, you can go to the charity wedding gown sale and bridal show on Sunday at the Sheraton Jacksonville Hotel. The event starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m.

Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door if you register online. For more information, you can go to bridesagainstbreastcancer.org
