FAA: Plane makes emergency landing in Orlando

JetBlue flight en route to Boston diverted to Orlando, officials say

ORLANDO, Fla. – A flight has made an emergency landing at Orlando International Airport on Wednesday after an emergency evacuation slide deployed in the aircraft cabin, according to Federal Aviation Administration officials.

JetBlue Flight 1266, an Embraer E-190 aircraft, landed safely at OIA at 3:40 p.m. after departing from Southwest Florida Int'l Airport. The flight was destined for Boston Logan Int'l Airport but was diverted to OIA.

OIA officials said 78 people were on board the plane with 74 of them being passengers.

The crew reported no injuries, FAA officials said.

The FAA is investigating.
