Families say final goodbyes to Murray Hill murder victims

Funerals planned for 4 murder victims Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Family members and friends will say their final goodbyes on Saturday to the four victims of last week's quadruple shooting.

Sisters Keyonna and Keshell Brown, Gontrell Hagans and Derek Williams will be laid to rest at three separate churches Saturday.

Police said last Thursday night, someone shot and killed the four inside a Murray Hill home. Investigators are still looking for their killer.

"I just wish someone would come forward and talk," said Alexis Gardener.

Gardner wants to find the person or people who killed her two older sisters, Keshell and Keyonna Brown.

"You have murderers walking around freely and I could sleep peacefully if I knew who did it," said Gardener.

"I sleep for about 3 or 4 hours and then I get back up. That's not enough, I know. I just can't sleep. I start thinking about them," said Keshell and Keyonna's grandmother, Patricia Brown. "I'm just hurting, hurting real bad about it, and I don't think I'll ever be able to get over it. Never."

Investigators are still working on the case and have not yet released a motive for the shooting.

At Derek Williams' wake, his sister Dominique told Channel 4 how she will remember her brother.

"He was loving and kind. He would give his last, a smile, you just couldn't match it," said Dominique.

Gontrell Hagans mother spoke with Channel 4 during her son's wake Friday night. She along with all of the family members involved in this tragedy are begging the community to come forward with information for police.

"Get the murderer off the street. That's all I want to know. Get the murderer off the street before someone else gets hurt," said Sheryl Hagans.

Three separate funerals will be held for the four victims on Saturday.

Funerals for Keschell and Keyonna Brown will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Household of Faith Church on Edgewood Avenue West.

The funeral for Gontrell Hagans will be held at 11 a.m. at the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church on West 14th Street.

Derek Williams' funeral will be held at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church on Winton Drive.
