Family of hit-and-run victim speaks about the incident

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The  family of a 65-year-old woman injured in a hit-and-run accident in Middleburg Thursday night is speaking with News4Jax.

Monica Ward says Patricia Hutchinson, 65 is still in critical condition in the ICU unit of UF Health Jacksonville.

The accident happened at a Kangaroo gas station about 9:45 p.m. Thursday  when a driver backed into Hutchinson, who lives in Starke.

Troopers have found the car that hit Hutchinson and have two suspects, but they have not yet made an arrest in the case yet.

Family members say she is a grandmother to three children and has worked in the meat department at Publix for 25 years.

The family says it's offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can provide information that leads to an arrest.

The family also wants to thank the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Clay County Fire Department and the Florida Highway Patrol for their work on this case and quick response to the scene. They also want to thank the employees of the Kangaroo and witnesses who came forward with information.
