FCSO warns public about recent Palm Coast robberies

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – The Flagler County Sheriff's Office is warning the public about a string of recent robberies in Flagler with possible ties to Volusia, Sumter and St. Johns counties. During these robberies, suspects park a higher-end vehicle in the driveway of homes believed to be empty so that they appear to belong there.

On Nov. 6, three robberies and one attempted robbery happened in the B, C, and Palm Harbor Golf Course sections of Palm Coast between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Suspects in each case were described as two black men who knocked on the door to check if anyone was home. When a resident answered, the men asked for directions or asked about neighbors.

A robbery at 11 Bickshire Lane happened between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. The resident returned home and found a maroon Infinity in her driveway. When the driver saw her, he backed out and left. The resident found the home's rear glass sliding door smashed. A jewelry box had been pulled out and the drawers had been ransacked.

An attempted robbery happened at 11 Cedardale Court just before 1 p.m. A neighbor heard glass break and saw two men standing next to her neighbor's home near a side door with a broken window. When they saw her, the suspects ran to the front of the home and left in a maroon vehicle.

Another robbery happened at 15 Live Oak Lane between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The homeowner found a front-foor glass panel broken and a bedroom ransacked. A neighbor told police that a man knocked on the door, asking for directions at 10 a.m. The neighbor noticed a red sedan parked in front of his home.

The third robbery happened at 5 Twisted Oak Place between 8 a.m. and 1:55 p.m. The homeowner returned home and found a back door smashed and a bedroom ransacked. A next-door neighbor told police she saw a red or maroon car pull into the neighbor's driveway at 9:30 a.m.

Investigation showed that similar crimes were committed in Volusia, St. Johns and Sumter counties.
