FHP: Car hits pedestrian in Arlington

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 48-year-old man was hit by a car on an Arlington Expressway service road Monday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A car driven by a 28-year-old woman was traveling eastbound on the service road near Arlington Road when the pedestrian walked out in front of the car and was hit, FHP said.

The man was transported to UF Health Jacksonville with serious injuries. The driver was not injured.

FHP did not release the names of either the pedestrian or the driver.
