FHP seeks to identify driver in fatal hit-and-run

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is looking to identify the person and vehicle responsible for a hit-and-run crash that left a motorcyclist dead.

The crash happened Oct. 17 around 11:22 p.m. on County Road 220 in front of Mercury Moon Bar and Grill.

Troopers said the vehicle pulled out in front of the motorcycle, causing it to strike the driver's side of the car.

That vehicle is described as a dark, compact sedan that is likely to have damage on the driver's side door area and a broken driver's window. The vehicle may also have tinted windows.
