BLACKWATER RIVER STATE PARK, Fla. - Authorities have recovered the bodies of two swimmers who went missing in the Blackwater River in the Florida Panhandle.
The Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office says the body of one man was found around 11 p.m. Tuesday, while the other was recovered early Wednesday.
The Pensacola New Journal reported the men, both in their 20s, were last seen Tuesday afternoon near Deaton Bridge in the Blackwater River State Park.
The sheriff's office, along with crews from local fire departments and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission searched the area for hours.
The sheriff's office is investigating.
