OCALA, Fla. - Police in Ocala are now investigating a woman's report that she was raped by a serial rape suspect several months ago.

The report comes after deputies arrested 37-year-old Michael Frye, who's accused in several rapes, earlier this month.

The woman contacted police Thursday and said she had been raped in early April by a heavy-set man with tattoos who offered her a ride, according to a police report.

She said she was driven to a secluded wooded area, raped and then pushed from the car, according to the report.

The woman says she didn't report the crime sooner because she didn't think anyone would believe her, according to the report.

The woman says she knew about the recent rape cases, but did not know that a suspect had been arrested, police said.

Frye was arrested after a string of five attacks in Marion County and Gainesville. So far, he's been charged in three of those rapes.
