Deputies seek to identify ATM skimming victims

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – Detectives in Alachua County are trying to identify additional victims who may have used an ATM machine at a Jonesville Publix on Feb. 18.

Deputies that day arrested three people in connection with utilizing a credit card skimming device. The suspects were captured after they were seen removing the device from an ATM located outside of the Publix supermarket at 14130 W. Newberry Road, deputies said.

Detectives said they're working with other agencies throughout the state, as well as federal law enforcement agencies, in uncovering the network of criminals.

Detectives have identified several victims who used the ATM machine. The device was believed to be on the machine from about 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Feb. 18.
