GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A Gainesville TV reporter was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual assaulting an acquaintance, according to the Alachua County Sheriff's Office.

Spencer Harris Allen, a WCJB-TV 20 reporter, is being held on $150,000 bond on the first-degree felony charge of raping a person over 18 years old.

Allen, 23, was socializing with a woman at someone's home and is accused of locking the woman in a bedroom and forcing himself on her. At one point, he grabbed her neck and held her face down, according to the arrest report.

The woman told police that she repeatedly told Allen no and tried to get away from him.

When she finally got away she grabbed a shirt and left the room, deputies said.

The arrest report said the woman was found by a witness crying and asking for her clothes.
