HAMPTON, Fla. - Two Hampton men were killed in a head-on crash Thursday night in Bradford County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported just before 6:30 p.m. on County Road 18 near Southeast 38th Avenue -- just south of Starke.

According to the Highway Patrol, 47-year-old Raymond Austin was driving a 1999 Chevrolet truck west on C.R. 18 when he steered into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 1998 Chevrolet truck driven by 26-year-old Michael Raulerson.

Troopers said both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

It's unknown why Austin's truck left the westbound lane, the Highway Patrol said.
