JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire in the clubhouse of a Southside apartment complex Tuesday morning.
Jacksonville Fire-Rescue was called to the Fountain Gate Apartments on Craven Road around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday after they received reports of a fire at the clubhouse.
It took about 20 minutes for crews to extinguish the fire at the clubhouse. JFRD said no one was in the clubhouse at the time of the fire and the building was closed.
The Fire Marshal was on scene early Tuesday morning investigating the cause and tells Channel 4, it may have been an electrical fire.
No foul play is suspected.
JFRD estimates the damage to cost about $100,000 to $150,000.
