NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - A teenager involved in a school bus beating has accepted a plea deal that includes a strict curfew, no access to social media and anger management classes during her 270-day probation.
The Tampa Tribune reports the 17-year-old girl was charged with fisrt-degree misdemeanor battery after she was filmed attacking a 16-year-old on a Pasco County school bus Feb. 1. She accepted the plea deal on Thursday in New Port Richey.
As part of her probation, the teen must write a letter of apology to her victim and pay restitution of $2,900.
She'll also have to testify against the 16-year-old who filmed the attack.
The victim wrote a letter, which was read during the hearing. She says that while the bruises healed the mental scars will improve with time.
