Flagler Humane Society hopes to get Surro-Kitty nursing device

Device to alleviate time it takes to feed kittens individually

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – The Flagler Humane Society is looking to get a nursing device to help when the shelter gets motherless litters of kittens.

The Surro-Kitty is a new nursing device developed by Wholeful Pet. It acts as a surrogate mother, allowing kittens to nurse as they normally would.

The shelter said valuable time was being spent on bottle-feeding each individual kitten. But with the Surro-Kitty, it will be possible to feed an entire litter at one time.

The device costs approximately $175.

Flagler Humane Society said anyone wanting to make a donation to get the Surro-Kitty can find information on their Facebook page.

More information for the Surro-Kitty is available on Wholeful Pet's website.
