Good Samaritan, motorist killed in crash

Wife of good Samaritan speaks to WKMG-TV

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Two people were killed Saturday after an early morning accident that left Interstate 4 shut down for several hours in Central Florida.

Liz Webb said she woke up Saturday morning to the sound of a state trooper banging on her door.

"It just creates a hole that's never going to go away," Webb said. "It's like a nightmare that's never going to end."

While Webb and her two daughters were asleep in their Kissimmee home, her husband, 47-year-old Robert Webb, was killed along with the stranger he was trying to help on Interstate 4.

According to troopers, Webb, a Mears taxi cab driver, had pulled over to help Nicole Arzig, 26, who had crashed into the guardrail near State Road 46 in the westbound lanes of I-4.

Both were standing in the emergency lane when they were hit by another car that had swerved to avoid the accident.

Webb said her husband was killed instantly.

"He was a good man, he was a good person, he had a good heart," said Webb.

Robert worked the night shift. His wife said he sometimes worked 60 hours a week -- anything to give his family the world.

"He took good care of us.  It's just, I'm going to miss him for the rest of my life," Webb said.

The driver of the car that hit Webb and Arzig was identified by troopers as 33-year-old Jescycka Cater.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.

Webb said she set up a memorial fund in her husband's name at TD Bank . All donation will go toward helping with funeral costs. The account, on behalf of Robert G. Webb Jr., is under Elizabeth Webb's name.
