Lake Mary police cite George Zimmerman for speeding

Zimmerman pulled over 2nd time since acquittal in Trayvon Martin's death

LAKE MARY, Fla. – Lake Mary police say they cited George Zimmerman on Tuesday for speeding in Seminole County.

Zimmerman, who was acquitted of second-degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin, was driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to police.

Police said he was pulled over on Rinehart Road and given a citation.

Zimmerman has made headlines since his July acquittal after he was pulled over in Texas for speeding in July. Zimmerman was given a warning in the Texas incident, where police say he was armed.

Zimmerman also helped rescue a family of four off State Road 417 from an overturned SUV just four days after being found not guilty of murder.

Last month, Zimmerman was also spotted at the Kel-Tec weapons plant in Cocoa, but it's not clear if he bought a gun.
