Million-dollar theft ring uncovered in central Fla.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Five people are accused in a central Florida Internet theft ring.

Officials say Marc Kolarik made about $1.2 million over the past year by selling stolen goods on eBay. A six-week investigation found that four others brought the merchandise to Kolarik.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports the group targeted Wal-Mart, Target, Publix and Winn-Dixie stores in Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties.

Volusia County Sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson says deputies found a "virtual warehouse" of merchandise of stolen items, including razor blades, oral hygiene, hair products, remote-control cars and gift cards.

All five suspects are charged with racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering.
