Deputies released pictures of the pair about 8 a.m. Friday, asking for the public's help to locate the fugitives. They were found about five hours later in Georgia.
Deputies said Mishoe and Daniels were seen at 6:11 p.m. Monday on Target security cameras as they loaded their shopping carts and tried to leave the store without paying for about $1,000 worth of merchandise.
As they tried to leave, a store employee confronted them, and Daniels pulled a knife and cut the employee several times on the wrist and hand, deputies said. The pair then drove away in a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, officials said. The employee's injuries required several stitches.
The employee gave police a partial Georgia license plate ending in 089, officials said.
Mishoe and Daniels will make their first court appearance in Pierce County before being brought back to face their charges in Nassau County.
Shoppers said Friday that they were shocked such an incident could happen in their small town. They said they will continue shopping at the Nassau County Target, but will be much more vigilant.
"Stuff like that does kind of scare me. I always try to park far away, so I can walk more, but maybe I'll rethink it," shopper Maria Weber said. "I don't want to say anything too mean, but I want him to pay for hurting someone."
Target said the employee is going to be OK, fortunately, and the store has been cooperating with the investigation.
