3 people displaced after Fernandina Beach home catches fire

Fire Rescue crews had fire under control within 25 minutes of arrival

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – Nassau County Fire Rescue units responded to a residential fire in the Hendricks Road area of Fernandina Beach around 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

Once fire crews arrived, around 50 percent of the home was already engulfed in flames, officials said.

Fire crews were able to control the fire within 25 minutes of arrival, officials said. 

Units from Fernandina Beach Fire Rescue assisted with the fire. 

Three residents were displaced by the fire. Fire Rescue officials contacted the Red Cross to assist the residents. 

A Fire Marshal responded to the fire and is conducting an investigation.
