FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – A 17-year-old boy was killed in a single-car crash in Fernandina Beach Wednesday evening, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers identified the victim as John Patrick Sullivan of Fernandina Beach.

According to FHP, Sullivan was driving west on State Road 200 near Old Nassauville Road about 8:30 p.m. when the Honda Civic went off the road for unknown reasons.
The Civic then crashed into a pole and overturned on its side, troopers said.
