NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – A pedestrian killed Sunday in a hit-and-run crash on U.S. Highway 1 near Musselwhite Road in Nassau County has been identified as a 37-year-old Jacksonville man, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said a black Toyota Tundra was traveling southbound on US-1 south of Zidell Rd when it hit Shane Hill, who was walking in the left lane. The driver of the Toyota then took off, but the truck was later found a few miles south of the crash location, abandoned in a parking lot.

Hill died at the scene.
