KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A United Kingdom family is stranded in Central Florida after thieves stole their personal belongings from their trunk.

While having dinner at a Golden Corral restaurant and wrapping up a two week vacation in the Disney area, the family from Manchester, England said the trunk of their rental car was broken into.

"After tomorrow, we don't have a hotel room paid for," Keith Lloyd said.

They said they lost all their cash, passports and the ability to go home. Lloyd said he has just a few dollars in his pocket and no working credit cards. He said he's afraid his wife and daughter will be out on the street.

"So we're stuck. Our flight with Virgin Atlantic which is the people we fly with have canceled our flight," Keith Lloyd said.

They've tried contacting the British consulate but it's closed until Thursday because of the holidays.

Kissimmee police said there were no surveillance cameras at the Golden Corral parking lot and it's likely the thieves saw the family pack their belongings in the trunk.

The United Way is stepping in and helping the family but the family is still in need of donations.
