11 drug arrests in 'Operation Cool Breeze'

Four month long investigation in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – Eleven people were arrested in a four month long drug investigation in Putnam County dubbed "Operation Cool Breeze."

The operation was named after a resident told detectives the recent removal of drug dealers from her neighborhood felt like a "cool breeze of relief."

During the operation, undercover detectives purchased cocaine, methamphetamine, morphine and hydromorphone from dealers in Palatka, Melrose, Interlachen and Hawthorne.

The investigation, which began in March 2016, ended in late July.

The following people were arrested and face charges:

  • Amber Nelson, sale of methamphetamine
  • Michael Adams, sale of methamphetamine
  • Austin Jackson, sale of hydromorphone
  • Richard Oxendine, Jr., sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of public housing
  • Timesha Dennis, sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of public housing
  • Rashard Session, sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church
  • Sara Howell, sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of public park
  • Fredrick McCaskill, sale of cocaine
  • Eurlee Baker, sale of cocaine
  • Ira Robertson, sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church

Robertson is already serving a state prison sentence for a previous drug dealing case.

Howard Smith was arrested in Clay County and charged with sale of methamphetamine and sale of morphine. No mug shot was available for Smith.

The following suspects are still wanted in this operation on these charges:

  • James Rivers, sale of methamphetamine
  • Lazayeus Bartley, sale of cocaine
  • Rodrick Bartkey, sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of school
