PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – A Putnam County man was charged this week with trafficking 10 kilograms of cocaine after a joint investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said.
Roberto Orozco-Villalobos, 29, was arrested after a "lengthy" investigation into drug trafficking in the Crescent City and Pomona Park areas.

Authorities said Orozco-Villalobos used his home on Cris Drive in Pomona Park as a distribution point for the drugs, which were then sold throughout southern Putnam County.
Orozco-Villalobos attempted to flee with a garbage bag full of cocaine when Putnam County sheriff’s SWAT and rifle security teams attempted to arrest him at his home, officials said. He was arrested shortly after the raid and authorities said they were able to retrieve the drugs.
In addition to the cocaine, detectives seized two semi-automatic handguns and a Toyota truck that Orozco-Villalobos is accused of using to transport the cocaine.
Officials said the street value of the cocaine seized is estimated to be worth over $1 million.
“This is just another example of the outstanding relationship between the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Sheriff’s Office,” Sheriff Jeff Hardy said. “Because of this relationship, a significant amount of drugs were removed from the streets of Putnam County and a dangerous drug trafficker is behind bars.”
