DAYTONA BEACH, Fla – Bear after bear has been caught on camera roaming a Daytona Beach neighborhood. Now, homeowners fear they're getting too close to a school and said they are worried about their kids. The problem is that there is no way to get rid of the bears.
The bears have been seen in the Bayberry Lakes neighborhood near Champion Elementary School. Many families have been there for years but said they are seeing bears daily, and more than one.

"I just thought, 'Oh my gosh, this bear is so bold. He's just broad daylight walking around,'" said resident, Kimberly Miller.
It is becoming a familiar sight -- bears making themselves at home in Daytona Beach.
"At first I thought it was a dog," said Elizabeth Korbin.
"It was a big black bear and yeah it scared me," said Arianna Korbin.
Bayberry Lakes residents have seen them at their front doors, in their front yards, backyards, garages, but also near Champion Elementary School.
"You know, it would be really unfortunate if something happens to a kid that was out waiting by the bus stop," said Miller.
Residents are desperately looking to be proactive in a neighborhood with many children and pets, but because the bears haven't been aggressive, wildlife officials haven't come out.
"I think the critical part here is cutting off the food supply," said resident Kenny Korbin.
Residents are now looking to the city to help with bear-proof trash cans.
"The consumer has to purchase them and they're not cheap. They are roughly $200 from what I understand," said Kenny Korbin.
In the meantime, neighbors said they will keep an eye out, and put cameras out too to show just how invasive their neighbors can be.
Wednesday night, residents said city leaders were going to discuss the problems in the Bayberry Lakes neighborhood. Local 6 was told they may be looking to state officials for help.
