School bus crashes into power pole

No injuries reported in wreck near elementary school

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – A school bus carrying 25 students crashed into a power pole in Casselberry on Tuesday morning, dropping live wires over the vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

No injuries were reported in the crash, which happened around 7:45 a.m. near Red Bug Elementary School, according to Paula Thompson of the Seminole County Fire Department.

"Everyone aboard the bus was able to exit safely via the rear emergency door," Thompson said. The cause of the crash is not known, but troopers said another vehicle was involved in the wreck.

Roads are closed in both directions in the area.
