Deputies said the thief broke in by smashing a side window and opening the door.

The report shows the burglar took off with four rifles that were in a case in the man's bedroom and several rounds of ammunition.

Investigators also found blood inside the home and believe the intruder was cut on the way in.

The victim told News4Jax he believes the thief is someone he knows and knew he was out of town.

The homeowner said his rifles did have serial numbers and he hopes they'll be recovered.

Investigators have questioned a couple of people about the break-in, but they don't have any hard leads at this time.

The victim said he's hoping the DNA evidence and the serial numbers on the rifles will lead to an arrest soon.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
