Deputies: Response to escort ad leads to robbery

Two people arrested in St. Johns County case

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A man who responded to an escort advertisement told deputies he was robbed at gunpoint at a motel in St. Johns County.

Charles McFerrin Quick, 25, and Rhiannon Lee Hart, 29, were both arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm.

The victim said he arrived at the Super 8 motel off State Road 16 and I-95 on Tuesday.

He said two women were in the room at the time and a short time later, a man showed up and was armed with a rifle.

The victim said the couple stole cocaine and $350 from him before leaving.

Detectives were able to identify the other woman in the motel room and located her in Jacksonville.

She told investigators she was unaware Quick and Hart were planning a robbery.

Quick was picked up when he arrived at the Hartsfield Jackson Airport in Atlanta on Wednesday.

Hart was arrested after she was release dfrom Baptist South Hospital Thursday mroning. It's unknown why she was in the hospital.

Both suspects were booked into jail on a $500,000 bond.
