Julington Creek gunfire under investigation

Cops: No injuries were reported and charges are pending

JULINGTON CREEK, Fla. – A neighbor dispute that lead to a shot being fired early Saturday morning in Julington Creek remains under investigation.

Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office say the shooting that happened at a home on Southbank Way just before 4:40 a.m.

Deputies said their preliminary investigation shows 41-year-old Mark Ruddle went to the home of 22-year-old Dylan Potter. An argument took place at the front door.

Deputies said Ruddle allegedly fired one round from a handgun into Potter's home.

Detectives arrested both men. Ruddle is charged with carrying a concealed firearm. Poter was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Clay County.

No injuries were reported.
