Firefighters say no one was hurt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – A house fire in Ponte Vedra Beach Monday afternoon was possibly caused by lightning, St. Johns County Fire Rescue said.

Crews were called just before 3 p.m. to a home on Ponte Vedra Boulevard, just south of Seawalk Drive, where they found light smoke, said SJCFR spokesperson Jeremy Robshaw.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, which started in the attic, shortly after arriving.
