ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The St. Johns County Grand Jury has indicted a woman in the shooting death of her sister's boyfriend in March.

Jordon Henries was charged with second-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Jeffrey Lee, who was shot during a confrontation outside the St. Augustine apartment of Henries' mother.

According to the SAPD, Jessica Henries called her sister, Jordon Henries, and her mother, Debra Henries, to tell them Lee had returned home and the two had been in a fight.

Jordon and Debra Henries came home right away and found Lee still at the apartment, police said.

Lee had previously been given a trespass warning for the Arricola Avenue property, which is just south of A1A near the Bridge of Lions, St. Augustine police said.

Lee and the two women had another confrontation in a yard, west of the house, police said. According to the incident report, Debra Henries told police that Lee was "beating on her" and that's when Jordon Henries pulled out a handgun and shot Lee.

All three women were released after questioning while police continued to investigate.

After Friday's indictment, St. Augustine detectives found Jordon Henries in Daytona Beach and she voluntarily came back to St. Augustine, arrested and transported to the St. Johns County Detention Center. She will have a first appearance on the murder charge Saturday.
