Suspect arrested after armed carjacking

Police: Suspects took off on foot were then arrested

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Police responded to a call about an armed carjacking on the Southside just after midnight Saturday morning.

It happened in the 2200 block of Wooddale Street, near the Southbank, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police later saw the carjacked vehicle at University Boulevard and Philips Highway. The suspects then took off on foot and were later arrested with the help of the Florida Highway Patrol.

JSO has not released the names of the suspects or other details.
