Video: Gainesville apartments catch fire after storm

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Paddock Club of Gainesville apartments caught fire Thursday afternoon, according to reports from the Gainesville Sun and WCJB TV-20.

The Gainesville Sun reported the fire was possibly the result of a lightning strike.

When firefighters arrived, flames were visible through the roof of the two-story building on Fort Clarke Boulevard.

Alachua County Fire Rescue District Chief James Clifford told the Gainesville Sun no injuries had been reported and the buildings had been evacuated.
