SANFORD, Fla. – George Zimmerman could know as early as Monday morning whether or not Judge Kenneth Lester will let him await his murder trial free on bond, instead of behind bars.
On Friday the judge said he needed more time to make a decision. He ended a bond hearing Friday, that lasted a lengthy amount of time, after stating he needed to take more time to go through all the new evidence presented before making his decision.

Zimmerman's original bond was taken away in early June after the judge ordered Zimmerman to go back to jail after his wife, Sheilie Zimmerman, was caught lying about the amount of money the couple had available to them.
On Friday, Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara, wanted to use video evidence and experts on the stand to show that his client was not a risk to the community and that Zimmerman's intention was not to lie to the judge about the thousands of dollars he moved around after receiving it from online donations.
O'Mara also tried to prove to the judge during Friday's hearing that Zimmerman shot Martin in self-defense after the teen attacked him.
Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder after shooting and killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin back in February. During the second bond hearing, Zimmerman's father, Robert Zimmerman Sr., was in court for the first time and even took the stand. He listened to a 911 call made the night Martin was shot, and identified his son when hearing a voice yelling for help in the background.
Another family member of George Zimmerman two attended the second bond hearing was his brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr. He told the judge that he came on behalf of George's wife, Shellie. She faces perjury charges for lying at her husband's first bond hearing.
Shellie Zimmerman will be back in court July 31st to face those charges.
