According to police, the 17-year-old girl knew the man and was joking with him when something she said upset him and he grabbed her wrists.

She told police she pulled away and fell to the ground.

He then straddled her to pin her down, kissed her and groped her private area, police said.

She was able to get away and reported the incident to campus security. The man ran away. No charges have been filed yet.

Students and faculty were alerted to the incident through the campus' emergency alert system.

The suspect is described as a black man, wearing a black and tan pants.

The alert came just a day after another similar incident was reported on the University of North Florida campus.

That student told UNF campus police that she was groped by a man she met Wednesday night after responding to a Craigslist ad asking for a babysitter.
