KINGSLAND, Ga. – Nearly 14 years after two men were shot to death while working at a pawn shop, Kingsland police are asking for a tipster to come forward with information.
On Dec. 1, 1999, Rudolph Ashton, 71, and Alan Dippy, 47, were working at the Title Pawn on the corner of Highways 40 and 17 in Kingsland when someone entered the business and shot them to death.

Since the discovery of the crime scene, hundreds of manhours have been spent investigating and seeking those responsible for the killings.
Kingsland police said as the 14-year mark approaches, they are reaching out to an unidentified person who contacted the police dispatch center a number of days after the crime to give information about the homicides.
The caller requested to remain anonymous, but before any information could be given the caller hung up.
Detectives said they would like to hear from the person who placed that call. They believe that person still has important information to share. Police said the request to remain anonymous will be honored.
